Serena, Jacobs mother also keeps a small flock of hens, which supply us with lovely fresh eggs. When we have too many, we usually sell them, so look out of them alongside our milk!
Walking home for milking. Our cows are milked twice everyday at the same time. They love their routine and are always ready and waiting on time!
The herd enjoying the evening sun
We are lucky enough to have clay soil, creating rich lush grass that grows well through the summer, spread over what we call the 'Park'. The cows rotate around it through the summer, meaning they always have fresh grass everyday.
The Park is also overlooked by the famous 'Pythouse' that you can see in the distance.
We managed to catch Jacob in action, out mowing one summer evening! The two dogs love riding in the cab with him!
The view from one of our fields, in the distance you can see the tractors working to collect the grass, ready to be made into silage. If you look closely you can also see some of the youngstock.
Our heifers enjoying the sun, heifers are cows who are about to join the milking herd, they usually join the herd around 2.5 years old.
Murphy one of the farm cats
We have one bull called Falcon, he lives with his group of heifers he is very quiet and spends most of his day sleeping and eating
Occasionally Friesians can be born a different colour, we have a few ‘red’ cows in our herd, we love the variety!
We also have a small flock of 40 sheep!
Two of our beef calves, all our calves are kept and reared on the farm. Calves that are not destined to join the milking herd are still kept and reared for beef.

We pride ourselves on having no plastic packaging, our bottles are glass and reusable! They are heat and dishwasher safe, so all we ask is that you clean them and use them again and again!
We are part of the Free range dairy group, which means our cows are outside 24/7 for a minimum of 180 days a year, often much longer. They do come in during the worst of the winter, to our cosy, dry sheds.
